SUMMIT, NJ - Beacon Hill Club is presenting an opportunity for boys and girls, ages 4-6, to learn to skate on their outdoor ice rink.
Learn to Skate is a beginner program where children will learn basic ice skating skills such as balancing, gliding forward and backward, stopping, lunges, and bunny hops. Children will receive two lessons each week from instructor Dawn Cushing, a United States Figure Skating Association Gold Medalist Figure Skater who has been teaching children of all ages to skate for more than 28 years.
Each session includes two 30-minute lessons per week, with two choice-of-day combinations available: Monday and Thursday, or Wednesday and Friday. Interested parties can sign up for either the first session (10 lessons), or the second session (nine lessons), or both sessions (19 lessons).
Session I runs Dec. 2 - Jan. 17 (no classes 12/23 - 1/3)
Session II runs Jan. 23 - Feb. 21
Class times for each Monday / Thursday series begin at 10:30 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. For the Wednesday / Friday segment, class times begin at 1 p.m. and end at 2:30 p.m. Class size is limited to to 10 children per class, and the cost is $200 for Session I, and $180 for Session II.
