LIVINGSTON, NJ – Livingston-based Keller Williams Suburban Realty is holding its annual Toys for Tots collection drive this holiday season. Members of the Livingston community are invited to participate.

Collections began on Dec. 1 and will run through Dec.13, so that the gifts can be distributed in time for the holidays. Collection bins are available at 250 South Livingston Avenue Livingston, New Jersey. Participants are invited to drop off wrapped gifts that are labeled accordingly—boy/girl/unisex and by age range, or unwrapped gifts.

“These gifts will provide a wonderful holiday surprise for those less fortunate than us,” said Adam Jacobs, call coordinator, Keller Williams.

Keller Williams participates in Toys for Tots because it is part of the company culture.

“Without our neighbors, we would not be here,” said Karen Burrick, market Center administrator, Keller Williams. “Toys for Tots is just a small way in which the Keller Williams Family can give back to our community,” said Burrick.

This is not the only charitable endeavor at Keller Williams Livingston. Keller Williams prides itself on being a charitable company. Annually, Keller Williams does a number of charitable projects via KW Cares, a 501(c)(3) public charity created to support Keller Williams associates and their families with hardship as a result of a sudden emergency.

According to the Keller Williams website, “The charity is the heart of Keller Williams culture in action—finding and serving the higher purpose of business through charitable giving in the market centers and communities where Keller Williams associates live and work.”

Keller Williams also annually holds RED Day (Renew, Energize and Donate), an initiative dedicated to celebrating Keller Williams Realty’s year-round commitment to improving our local communities. Each year, on the second Thursday in May, tens of thousands of associates from across the United States and Canada participate in a wide range of projects, devoting our time to renewing and energizing aspects of the neighborhoods in which they serve.

Recognizing her leadership in guiding the culture of our company, RED Day is held in honor of Mo Anderson, vice chairman of the board, Keller Williams Realty.

According to the Keller Williams website, “Our vision for this day is that all Keller Williams associates will actively engage in a coordinated effort to improve their local community. Activities run the gamut, including rehabbing a house, cleaning up a local trail, providing food for the homeless or any service related activity needed in your community.

In order for this day to be a huge success, each Keller Williams market center is asked to identify and coordinate an activity that will have a visible impact on their local community and surroundings.

This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty’s culture and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone. As Mark Ozman, an associate with the Indianapolis/Carmel market center, wrote, "RED Day isn’t about cleaning up a park. It is a one-day expression of what happens 24/7 in the Keller Williams culture. It is seeing a need, discovering who can meet that need and then getting it done."
