July 18-22: Passaic County Fair at Garret Mountain

WOODLAND PARK – The 2012 Passaic County Fair will be held Wednesday, July 18 thru Sunday July 22 on the Great Meadow that overlooks Paterson in Garret Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park.
The eighth annual fair is sponsored by Passaic County Vision 2020 Inc. in cooperation with the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
The hours of operations are:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, July 18, 19, 20 - 5 to 11 p.m.
Saturday, July 21 – 4 to 11 p.m.
Sunday, July 22 – 4 to 10 p.m.
Attractions at the fair include rides, food court, contests, circus tent, and free entertainment, information tents and pony rides. The Sheriff’s Department will offer displays and there will be information about Passaic County departments in the County Tent. The 175th anniversary of Passaic County will be celebrated in the History Tent.
An opening ceremony will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 18.
Entertainment for Wednesday, July 18 includes Precision Dance Academy of West Milford at 6 p.m. and Johnny B. Bruno & Barbara at 8:30 p.m. At the Circus Tent, there will be Circus Acts and Canine Show at 8:30 p.m.
On Thursday, July 19, Willy Dalton & the Dalton Gang will perform at 7 p.m. in the Entertainment Tent. Circus Acts and Canine Show will begin 7 p.m. in the Circus Tent.
At 8 p.m. on Friday, July 20, Joe Ziza & Friends will present “Emerald Experience – Tribute to New Jersey, Paterson & Passaic County” in the Entertainment Tent. Circus Acts and Canine Show will begin 7 p.m. in the Circus Tent.
Carrlosboys Cuban Salsa Orchestra will perform 8 p.m. Saturday, July 21 in the Entertainment Tent. Circus Acts and Canine Show will perform 6 and 8 p.m. in the Circus Tent.
Uncle Floyd will perform 5 p.m. Sunday, July 22 in the Entertainment Tent. At 6 p.m., al Russo & Gary Colleti will perform “Frank Sinatra & more”. The Planets will perform at 8 p.m. Circus Acts and Canine Show will perform 6 and 8 p.m. in the Circus Tent.
Admission to the fair is free. There is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle. A free shuttle service will be provided from the parking areas to the fairground.
