BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - John "Goop" Mondelli alleges unfair bias in response to an ordinance violation he was required to address on his property.
Mondelli was found to be in violation of local ordinance 21-04 that bans car-ports in residential zones and a permit was required for a shed located on his property. In lieu of going before the zoning board to resolve the ordinance issues, he made arrangements to remove the structures.
Mondelli alleged the town did not apply the same "rules" to a town councilman, Ed Delia. Delia told The Alternative Press.com that Mondelli is not accurate in his allegations.
In early 2013, Mondelli placed a complaint against Delia to the township zoning officer. According to town records, Delia filed for appropriate variance.
