Franek studied piano for four years with Janet Hein of North Caldwell. He also plays the harpsichord and clavichord and is learning to play the organ. Franek will be entering his senior year at James Caldwell High School in the fall. He’s an honor student and takes part in many aspects of the music program there and plans to pursue a degree in music.
“This is John's third Piano Recital at the Library and I can definitely say that he is a gifted and talented musician with a promising future,” commented Supervising Librarian Ethan Galvin. “He tends to play original compositions, which is unusual for someone his age.”
