CHATHAM, NJ - The Chatham News Service officially closed on Thursday after the morning rush hour at the Chatham Train Station.

Gregory Henrich closed the news stand after 47 years on the  job, having followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Charles, and his father, Harold. The Chatham News Service has been a part of Chatham since its inception in 1912.

"It has been said that 'All good things must come to an end'...and so it too is our time to end," said Henrich via a printed handout at his stand.

"I would like to thank all of you for your constant support and patronage over the years," said Henrich in his own press release. "We truly appreciate having had the chance to serve you here at the train station as well as with our newspaper home delivery service."
