It’s All in the Details

Here at The Mattress Factory, we’re focused on the details. We want you to walk out of here not just with a new mattress, but knowing that we listened to you and delivered exactly what you asked for. We know how important it that you get a good night’s sleep, in fact, our motto is “Sleep Well…Live Well”. So when it’s time for a new mattress, make sure you spend some time finding one that you’re going to be happy with.
That sounds great you might think, anyone can say that about their product. So what’s the difference here at The Mattress Factory? For one, our mattresses are made right here in New Jersey, right behind the showroom to be exact. We’re not ordering them from a no-name wholesaler; we’re delivering what you’re looking at.
Speaking of delivering, when it’s time to get your new mattress home, we take care of that too. Want your old mattress and box spring gone? We’ll remove it for you.
And to get deeper on the details, we’re not a one size fits all operation. We offer the same types of mattresses you’ll find at big box stores – inner spring, latex, pillow top and more – plus custom sizes and shapes if need be. Need something to fit your boat or odd sized trundle? There is no middle man so we can handle that.
They say “the devil is in the details” meaning it’s often the little things that make a seemingly straightforward task challenging. At The Mattress Factory, it’s the little things that make us shine. So, when you’re ready to get the kind of incredibly relaxed sleep that the furry fellow in this column is experiencing – come to The Mattress Factory.

Ron Shovlin, a lifelong resident of Westfield, has been involved in the family business, The Mattress Factory, his entire adult life. In addition to running The Mattress Factory, he has always been a very active member of the community. Ron is currently on the Executive Committee of the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce. “A strong community that supports its local businesses is what this country was built on and I feel is what makes this area something special,” says Ron.
Now, Ron and his wife, Kara run the family business together. Ron and Kara met at Westfield High School and have been together ever since. “Having my wife’s creative ideas when it comes to the marketing has really allowed me to work on the business and focus on product development.”
The two of them not only own The Mattress Factory, they also started a clothing line called “I Dare You”. This is a clothing line designed to challenge and inspire people to go after the things they always wanted. They refer to the line as “challengewear”, and it was born out of their love of sports and all things fitness. Ron was a successful athlete in high school and college and continues to utilize those skills by coaching his two young boys. “Being involved is the best way to give back. When you’re passionate about something it’s easy to get others excited.”
