A member of the Speakers Bureau of the Israel Consulate in New York City, Tal Even spoke at the Temple B'nai Abraham Kabbalat Shabbat dinner and seminar on Dec. 2. A "recovering" lawyer with an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business, Even presented an informative PowerPoint presentation describing the conditions in Israel that establish a climate conducive to start-up ventures that have marked the small country's innovations and breakthroughs in the field of technology, computer and health-related. Referencing Dan Senor's best-seller, "Start-up Nation," Even captivated the attendees with tales of individual risks taken and global successes attained. Everyone came away better informed and very proud of Israel's contributions to the technology we so often take for granted.
