The Investors Foundation, which continues to provide funding support to nonprofit programs that enrich the communities served by Investors Bank, has awarded a $20,000 grant to The Connection for Women and Families. The funding has been pledged over five years.
The Connection is a membership-based organization offering a wide variety of recreational and fitness programs, instructional classes, after-school and camp programs, and other services for children, adults, and seniors. The Investors Foundation grant has been awarded in connection with the agency’s annual Winterfest fundraiser, which supports The Connection’s scholarship fund.
“In the past year, The Connection gave away more than $240,000 in scholarship assistance to more than 400 area residents and families,” said Peggy McHugh Hagen, the organization’s executive director and CEO. “We are focused on meeting the needs of everyone in our community, and we never turn anyone away as a result of their inability to pay.”
“Since its founding 90 years ago, The Connection for Women and Families has grown into a premier community service organization providing literally dozens of programs for people of all ages and abilities,” said Investors Bank President and CEO Kevin Cummings. “They have our best wishes for success as they continue their pursuit of a very worthwhile mission.”
“We’re enormously grateful for the continuing friendship of the Investors Foundation,” said Hagen. “Their generosity, and that of all our donors and partners, is enabling The Connection to create new opportunities for people and families throughout the regions we serve.”
