Introducing The View From 186

The beginning of each new year is a good time to reflect on the past and plan for the future. With that in mind, Turpin Real Estate’s Chatham office selected The Alternative Press as our link to the communities we service, and we are pleased to launch our new column for 2013. You will be hearing from members of our Chatham office with their insights about homes, recent trends, lifestyle happenings and detailed data based on the local marketplace.
Due to their tremendous efforts, our sales team created a highly successful 2012 and outperformed all other Decembers in Turpin’s history, which was a great way to end the year.
On the other hand, Hurricane Sandy certainly impacted our area, and called upon all of us to help our fellow New Jersey residents who suffered such great losses along the coast. Many of our associates were involved in helping directly or supporting organizations through fundraising. Needless to say, we are proud of our team of agents at Turpin as real estate professionals-- and just as significantly--as members of their respective communities.
Since our opening day in 1960, Turpin has always been a “glass half full” kind of company no matter what the market conditions bear, a philosophy that has served us well through the years. When we review statistics from 2011 and 2012 the numbers show The Chathams are experiencing a relatively stable and healthy market.
