Intoxicated Driver Strikes Car in Westfield and Flees

June 6, 2013 10:45 a.m.

Christina Santiago, 30, of Plainfield was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for her arrest from Elizabeth Municipal Court in the amount of $300.00. Santiago was arrested and processed.

June 7, 2013 5:43 p.m.

William Thomas V, 20, of Scotch Plains was arrested for shoplifting at a business establishment in the 600 block of West North Avenue. Thomas V was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on his own recognizance with a scheduled court date.

June 7, 2013 8:45 p.m.

Nathaniel Garcia, 29, of Elizabeth was arrested on an outstanding criminal warrant ($93.00) out of Elizabeth Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at Central Avenue/Sycamore Street. Garcia was transported to Headquarters, processed, and released on his own recognizance at Elizabeth Municipal Court.

June 8, 2013 11:22 a.m.

Karine Martin, 46, of Plainfield was arrested at Plainfield Police Department on Westfield warrant B69498. Martin was transferred over to Union County Jail in lieu of $638.00 bail.

July 6, 2013 1:38 a.m.

Joshua Adkins, 27, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding criminal warrant out of Westfield Municipal Court ($1,500.00) pursuant to a pick up at South Plainfield Police Department. Adkins was transported to Headquarters, processed and placed in cell #1 in lieu of bail.

July 6, 2013 10:06 p.m.

Yusuf Abramson, 33, of Plainfield was arrested during a motor vehicle stop in the area of Westfield Avenue/First Street. Abramson was wanted on warrants from Scotch Plains ($500.00), Mountainside ($214.00) and Fanwood ($356.00). He was transported to Westfield Police Department, processed and released on his own recognizance by all three municipalities.

July 7, 2013 1:15 a.m.

A 17-year-old male juvenile from Westfield was arrested for possession of marijuana pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at Rahway Avenue/First Street. Subject was transported to Headquarters, processed, and transferred over to a responsible adult.

July 8, 2013 9:07 p.m.

Christopher Kirkwood, 56, of Middletown was arrested on an outstanding Secaucus warrant (bail $400.00) following a motor vehicle stop in the 200 block of Ross Place. Kirkwood posted bail and was released.

July 9, 2013 3:09 p.m.

Frank Beltran, 21, of Elizabeth was arrested on two outstanding warrants during a motor vehicle stop at Central Avenue and Sussex Street. The warrants were out of Perth Amboy (GG458899) for $81.00 and Bordentown (E13-2768) for $500.00. Both jurisdictions released Beltran on his own recognizance.

July 10, 2013 4:05 p.m.

Kimberly Baker, 48, of Mountainside was arrested for D.W.I. Baker allegedly struck a parked vehicle on South Chestnut Street and then fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was located on North Avenue/Orchard Street in Cranford, where the arrest took place. Baker refused the Alcotest. Summonses issued for 39: 4-50, 39:4-50.4a, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report an accident.

July 11, 2013 12:00 a.m.

Lia Fagan, 20, of Westfield and Nicholas Breza, 22, also of Westfield were arrested for possession of CDS/marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop at Hillcrest Avenue and South Chestnut Street. Both parties were released on their own recognizance on summonses pending a court date of 7/25/13 at Westfield Municipal Court.

July 12, 2013 7:56 p.m.

Lisa Friedman, 49, of Westfield was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant ($165.00) out of Fanwood Municipal Court pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at West South Avenue/Westfield Avenue. Friedman was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on her own recognizance.

July 12, 2013 8:28 p.m.

Dennis Hillman, 51, of Plainfield was arrested on the strength of an outstanding criminal warrant out of Burlington Township Municipal Court ($240.00) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the 100 block of Cacciola Place. Hillman was transported to Headquarters, processed, and released on his own recognizance with a pending court date.

July 12, 2013 8:28 p.m.

Anthony Boyd, 51, of Mountain View Avenue in Scotch Plains was arrested on the strength of three outstanding traffic warrants out of the following jurisdictions: Trenton Municipal Court ($2,500.00), Scotch Plains Municipal Court ($500.00), and Plainfield municipal Court ($250.00) pursuant to a motor vehicle stop in the 100 block of Cacciola Place. Boyd was transported to Headquarters and processed. He was released on his own recognizance as per Trenton Municipal Court; posted bail via bondsman for Scotch Plains municipal court and held in lieu of bail for Plainfield Municipal Court.
