Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss

Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, recently trained eleven new Volunteer Facilitators. These volunteers will each co-facilitate a bi-monthly, peer-support group for children and adults who are mourning the loss of a family member. The experiential training is completed over a 4-day, 32-hour workshop that explores how to actively listen to group members. Future facilitators are also encouraged to explore their own loss history in order to assure that they take good care of themselves and are prepared to be the support that participants need. The next Facilitator Training will be from April 5-8, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Imagine is located at 1 East Broad Street in Westfield.
