I Married the Boss

It's true.  I married the boss.  After recovering from a perfect wedding day and an A-1 honeymoon, the groom has decided his bride should be back on track. So, now, I'm a Cramer.  Bonnie Cramer.  And, I'm perfectly content returning to my role as his Public Relations Manager.  Over the past few weeks, I've spent a lot of time with a network of friends and family enjoying reflections, memories and treasured moments.  In one way or another these people have all made an everlasting positive impact in my life. What a feeling.

Let's face it.  It's tough to return to work after you've been reeling, but I want to make some kind of connection between the most memorable moments in my life and sharing something worthwhile in this work related column.  So, I've summed it all up into one word - community.  A community can make all the difference in the world even if it's only to one person at a time, and of late, I've been surrounded by community-an incredible one.  Dr. Leonardo Buscaglia said  " Too often we under-estimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around"

Perhaps our relationships personally and professionally would be for the greater good if we all took a page from Leonardo Buscaglia's book.  I am proud to be part of Carpet One Floor and Home not only because of their successes and that they provide great products, but they have a humanitarian focus toward building community wherever a Carpet One Floor and Home may be. They're making people feel good.  It would be so great if everyone could make caring for his or her community standard operating procedure.  Is that your routine?  Check out my upcoming column for all the great acts of community on behalf of Carpet One Floor and Home.  If nothing else, let this new bride pass on some good news and make you feel inspired with some heartfelt stories.
