BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Hundreds of Santa's adoring young fans welcomed Santa and his elves to Berkeley Heights on Saturday morning at the Town Hall.

Awaiting for the 10 a.m. arrival of Santa, the brass instruments from the Gov. Livingston Highlander Band along with special guest musician, Orvill Behm [retired Woodruff School music teacher] entertained the crowd with Christmas songs.  (Directed by Nicholas O'Sullivan.)

Upon Santa's arrival, Mayor Joe Bruno presented him with the key to the township and welcomed Santa to Berkeley Heights.  Santa exchanged a gift brought to Mayor Bruno on behalf of Mrs. Claus.

The children lined up inside the Winter Wonderland to meet with Santa.  He listened to each and every child's holiday wish.  New this year, family photos with Santa were given to the guests.

Holiday themed coloring activities, hot chocolate, reindeer juice and cookies were provided for the families as they waited to visit with Santa..

The horse-drawn wagon rides added to the holiday spirit.  The families enjoyed the rides while Santa's elves led in singing Christmas songs.

Santa's visit is brought to the community by the Berkeley Heights Recreation Department Special Events Committee.

Tree lighting at Memorial Park, Saturday evening at 5 p.m., followed by a firework display by Garden State Fireworks.
