SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Free Public Library will host "Surviving the Job Search", featuring Neil Berger, a Human Resources professional with more than 30 years of experience.  All are welcome to attend this free event, which will take place February 4 from 7 - 9 p.m.

Berger will answer questions such as, "What happens to your resume one you press 'send'?; When does the interview process really begin?;  What is the "hidden paycheck"?; and, Can an interviewer ask if an applicant has ever been arrested?  He will lead attendees through the total interview process -- from submitting a resume to accepting a job offer -- in an interactive workshop designed to answer these and many other questions.

Berger spent five years as a New York City high school English teacher prior to joining the Human Resources profession first as a training specialist, and then as Manager of Training and Development for Chemical Bank.  Due to limited space at the event, it is asked that all persons wishing to attend pre-register at the Library Reference Desk, or call 908 / 273-0350 (extension 3).  The Summit Free Public Library is located at 75 Maple Street, and their website can be found at summitlibrary.org.
