LIVINGSTON, NJ – In the past week the Livingston Police Department has released information on two crimes that occurred in town.
On Sept. 25, a house burglary took place at 51 Berkley Place sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. According to the report, a person entered into the home through what appeared to be an unlocked rear door. Items in the upstairs bedroom had been disturbed and a safe containing documents was opened. Several dresser drawers were also opened in the bedrooms.
The owner of the house reported that a wallet, containing a driver’s license, credit cards and $30 cash, and a small laptop computer had been taken.
On Sept. 30, a car was stolen out of an office complex located at 65 E. Northfield Road. A man from Butler parked his 2012 Range Rover in the complex parking lot, left it running, and entered a doctor’s office for what he described as a brief work-related visit. When he returned to where he parked his car he discovered that it was missing. The car has still not yet been recovered.
