ANY OTHER INFORMATION: Detective Luciani received a call from a pawn shop in Byram on 1/10/13. They stated they have a ring  pawned by Marc Santucci of Hopatcong and it may be stolen.  Detective Luciani asked them to hold onto it to see if  a report comes in of stolen Jewelery.  Detective Luciani questioned Santucci on where he got the ring.  He said Mary Hess gave it to him. On 1/24/13 Officer Barta responded to a home on Lackawanna Drive for a report of theft.  Missing were:  earings, charms, a necklace, an engagement ring and a wedding band totaling approximately $6,700.00. The victims are relatives and Mary Hess lives with them.  Detective Luciani called the pawn shop who still had the ring. The victims were able to identify the ring as theirs. Mary took the jewelery from her family members and with Santucci, pawned the ring in Byram.  She was arrested, charged and brought to the Sussex County Jail when she could not make bail.   Marc Santucci who is friends with Hess pawned off  the other stolen  jewelry in a pawn shop in Hopatcong.  When officers arrested Santucci at his home he had a bag of marijuana in his pocket. He could not make bail and was taken to the Sussex County Jail.
(These charges are merely an accusation. The defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty)
