PATERSON, NJ – Gov. Chris Christie on Monday appointed Maria Teresa Feliciano of Paterson to the state Civil Service Commission.
Feliciano was among the members of the Latino Leadership Alliance of New Jersey who endorsed Christie’s re-election at an event two weeks ago. City political insiders have named Feliciano as one of eight people considering a run for mayor next year.
Last year, as a representative of the Dominican Roundtable, Feliciano had advocated that Paterson’s election map be drawn so that the 4th Ward would end up with Latino voters in the majority.
