BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Governor Livingston High School’s Wordwright Challenge team recently won highest honors for its performance over the entire 2013-14 school year.

This national competition, which requires students to complete a close read and analysis of different kinds of prose and poetry, occurs over four different meets throughout the school year.

The Gov. Livingston High School Grade 12 team composed of Rachel Cantor, Rachel Zhu, Ariana Chuba and Lexi Cassano, with the guidance of Gov. Livingston English Teacher Doreen Ladinski, placed twelfth in the nation. Senior Ipsita Chatterjee also stood out as one of the three highest-ranked 12th graders in the entire country.

This was the first year Gov. Livingston competed in this national contest which was made possible through a GLHS PTO grant awarded to the English Department Faculty.
