Gov. Livingston Students Compete for Championship in Statewide Consumer Bowl

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Gov. Livingston High School students will compete to become the statewide champion of the Consumer Bowl on May 19 in Trenton. The Consumer Bowl features a game-show format to test students’ knowledge of consumer protection laws and consumer rights.

A total of 84 schools entered the Consumer Bowl’s first round of competitions in January. The GL team defeated Ridge High School, 135-110, in the final round of the Central Region Competition earning the right to compete in the New Jersey State Finals. 

Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman and Steve Lee, Acting Director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, will address the students of the three competing teams just before the competition begins.

The final three teams are:
Irvington High School, from Essex County, representing Northern New Jersey
Governor Livingston High School, from Union County, representing Central New Jersey
Gateway High School, from Gloucester County, representing Southern New Jersey
