Gov. Livingston Football Victorious Over A.L. Johnson

CLARK, NJ - The Gov. Livingston football team defeated Arthur L. Johnson Clark, 24-14, on Friday night in Clark. Ryan Jennings led the Highlanders with two touchdowns.
The first touchdown was scored by Alex Boyd, putting the Highlanders up, 7-0. With 7:23 remaining in the second quarter, Boyd had a crucial interception at Gov. Livingston’s own 25 yard line.
With a minute remaining in the second quarter, the Crusaders scored a touchdown, making it a tie game, 7-7. Gov. Livingston marched down the field and Patrick Mahoney kicked a 36-yard field goal, making the score 10-7 at the half.
In the third quarter, with 3:56 remaining, Jennings ran for a touchdown, putting Gov. Livingston ahead, 17-7.
The Crusaders answered with a touchdown in the fourth quarter, making the score 17-14. With 5:24 left in the fourth quarter, Jennings had his second touchdown of the night. P.J. Jamalowitz had an interception in the final minutes of the game to seal the victory.
Gov. Livingston, now 3-3, will play North Plainfield at home Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m.
