SUMMIT, NJ - Gov. Livingston Boys Swimming could not get past Summit, the defending State Champions, on Monday, Feb.10 in the semi-final round of the NJSIAA State Tournament, North Jersey, Section 2, Public B, losing 96-74.

It has been over a decade since Gov. Livingston Boys Swimming qualified for the State Tournament.  Gov. Livingston entered the tournament ranked fourth in the bracket.  The Highlanders advanced to the second round by swimming past fifth ranked Rutherford, 113-57, on Thursday, Feb. 6.

"It was a great accomplishment to make it to the second round of the tournament and our team performed well today both in the individual events and in the relays. However, Summit always has such a talented team and this year is no different, they are always tough competition," said senior Chris Moran.

The Highlander's boys team will be graduating 2 seniors, Captains Chris Moran and Uday Manchanda. "It's  disappointing to think that I swam my last race as a Highlander. However, it's clear that this team has a lot of young talented athletes who will make this team even more competitive next year," said Moran.
