The annual Fantastic Friday/Super Saturday event sponsored by the Highlander Booster Club kicks off at 5 p.m., this Friday night, January 14, with a pasta dinner and the Highlander Wrestling team facing the Tigers of Linden.  Saturday, January 15 starts at 8 a.m. with a traditional pancake breakfast followed by a full slate of games.  All of these activities will be at the Governor Livingston High School, 175 Watchung Ave., Berkeley Heights.

The day is full of sporting events, team tables, raffles, and other activities.  It is sure to be another fun-filled experience for fans of all ages.  The morning is filled with PAL basketball games, Columbia Middle School vs. Deerfield Middle School, and the Varsity Fencing Team squaring off against Watchung Hills High School under the spotlight on the auditorium stage.

The Boys and Girls Highlander Basketball Programs will be taking on long time rivals the Pioneers of New Providence.   There will be a full slate of Basketball games that culminates in the Girls Varsity game at 3:00 p.m. and the Boys Varsity game at 4:30 p.m.  The final sporting event of the day takes place at Union Sports Arena Ice Rink on Route 22 when the Highlander Ice Hockey Team faces off against Parsippany High School at 6:20 p.m.

Longtime fans of Super Saturday should be aware that the Highlander Vendor Market will be limited to GLHS clubs and teams.  The clubs and teams will be offering a wide variety of fun activities and will be raffling off many exciting prizes.  As always we will be holding the Giant 50/25-15-10 raffle which will be drawn at the half of the Boys Varsity Basketball game.  Tickets for the Giant 50/25-15-10 Raffle may be purchased in advance through the Highlander Booster Club.
