When the alleged victim saw Isaiah Todd Robinson in the backseat of a silver Dodge Stratus that pulled slowly into Main Street Apartments on the 1100 block of West Main Street, the Towamencin man had no idea his former friend would allegedly try to rob him at gunpoint minutes later.

Now, Robinson, 21, of the 100 block of Main Street, Lower Salford Township, sits in Montgomery County prison awaiting an Aug. 21 preliminary hearing in Lansdale District Court on felony charges of robbery and aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of assault, theft, receiving stolen property and terroristic threats, according to court documents. Robinson was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Harold Borek in Lansdale and remanded to prison on $50,000 cash bail.

According to the affidavit, the alleged armed robbery occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. July 30.

The alleged victim told police that he was sitting outside his apartment building, when the Stratus pulled into the parking lot, driven by a white male, with another white male in the passenger seat. While the man did not recognize those two individuals, he did recognize Robinson, whom he told police was a former friend, according to the affidavit.

The car stopped and Robinson exited the backseat. He began a conversation with the alleged victim, police said. After a few minutes, Robinson then reached into a duffel bag in the backseat of the Stratus and allegedly pulled out a handgun, according to the affidavit.

Robinson, police said, then allegedly pointed the gun at the Towamencin man and demanded, “Give me all your sh-t!”

Fearful, the alleged victim dropped his iPhone and then escaped into the apartment building, police said. He ran to a neighbor’s apartment, where the neighbor dialed 911, according to the report.

The alleged victim told police Robinson might be found at Pheasant Run Apartments in Lower Salford.

Lower Salford Police eventually found the Dodge Stratus in question at Pheasant Run Apartments, occupied by Robinson and the two men, police said.

The alleged victim later positively identified Robinson as his robber, at which time Robinson was taken into custody, police said.
