Girls Leadership Institute's Parent Daughter Workshops coming to Tuscan School

The PTA of Tuscan School in Maplewood has invited the Girls Leadership Institute, a national, nonprofit organization that provides transformational communication and leadership programs for girls and their parents, back to the SOMSD district to run their popular parent daughter workshop programming in winter/spring 2014. Tuscan School is hosting location for three workshop series for girls and their parents:
- Say How You Feel, Ask for What You Need - 4th/5th grade girls & parents: 4 week series, Wednesday evenings, January 15 ,22, 29, February 5
- Navigating Challenging Friendships - 4th/5th grade girls & parents: 4 evening series, Wednesday evenings, February 12, 19, 26, March 5
- Tools for Sunny & Cloudy Days With Friends - k/1st grade girls & parents: 4 evening series Wednesday evenings, March 26, April 2, 9, 16
The workshop series are designed to help girls engage more effectively and authentically with others, develop conflict resolution techniques, build better interpersonal relationships, create healthy relationships and build leadership skills. The 4/5 grade programs above can taken separately or as an 8 week series.
The cost is $200 per parent-child pair for the 4 week series for second through fifth grade programs and $170 for kindergarten and first grade series. Registration is open. All workshops are limited to 15 participants. These workshops are open to the community.
