BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - If you appreciate the fresh, organic, and gourmet items in Garden of Eden’s Berkeley Heights store on Springfield Ave, it’s now possible to enjoy what they offer at any event you’re planning in your home, office, or other location.  According to store General Manager Robert Rosa, “Most of our customers don’t realize Garden of Eden also does catering, and we have a full-time dedicated service staff to ensure things go smoothly when the pressure is on.  Our New York City stores have twenty years of experience when it comes to catering weddings, holiday parties, corporate events, graduation celebrations, and other types of events, and we bring that expertise to our Berkeley Heights location.”

Whether you need sandwiches and salads for a conference room lunch or hot items and desserts for a small birthday party, Garden of Eden Berkeley Heights can prepare and deliver most smaller requests around the Berkeley Heights area within 24 hours – sometimes on the same day if the order is called in early enough and the food items are in stock.  48 hours notice is all that’s necessary to prepare for larger events.

If you haven’t been to Garden of Eden, the grocery store specializes in organic and natural foods that promote health and wellness.  They’ve also gained recognition for having one of the best selection of gourmet meats, cheeses, seafood, fruit, seasonings, and other cooking items discriminating chefs look for.

Rosa added, “Better food makes a better catering experience.  New York City-area celebrity chefs are often captured on camera walking through the aisles of Garden of Eden grocery stores in Manhattan when they need the freshest ingredients to prepare gourmet meals.  They appreciate our consistent level of high quality, and so will you when we cater your event.  High-quality, fresh food is all we deal with every day in our stores, and it’s what you’ll get when you hire us.  We will be on site and ready to serve promptly, and you won’t hear embarrassing complaints from guests that the caterer didn’t bring sufficient quantities of food.  If you’re concerned about food allergies or other dietary needs that your guests may have, just let us know.  The high level of professionalism our chefs exhibit means cross-contamination between food items during preparation and delivery is eliminated.”

While Garden of Eden advertises that the food offered on their shelves is hand selected for freshness, wholesomeness, and taste, they are quick to point out that their prices typically match those of volume supermarkets, and are lower than most gourmet stores.

When asked why hiring a grocery store to cater an event would be better than hiring a catering hall, Rosa replied, “We don’t prepare and serve food once every day or on weekends the way a lot of caterers do, we do it in our grocery store all day, every day for our regular customers.   In fact, each day we prepare over 100 salad and entree items and serve over 1,000 people in each of our stores.  Most caterers can’t say that.  We’re uniquely well-qualified and well-practiced at what we do.

Our chefs are always fine-tuning the way we season and cook our meats, fish, poultry, salads, and other hot meal items.  When you tell us the way you want your food to be cooked and taste, we’ll know how to prepare it just the way you want because we have a more hands-on relationship with our food ingredients than most catering halls do.  We pass on our everyday best prices and volume savings to you, and you’ll be happy to realize that a better catering experience doesn’t have to be as expensive as you think either.”
