Exhibition Super Saturday
On Saturday, all six gallery exhibitions will be open during the day as part of the Valley's Exhibition Super Saturday. A Holiday Jewelry Trunk Show & Sale featuring one-of-a-kind pieces made by members of the statewide New Jersey Metal Arts Guild (NJMAG) will also be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the ValleyArts Firehouse.
At 11 a.m., the public is invited to see the Kelli J. Copeland Artist Lofts, now under construction at 400 South Jefferson Street. The Lofts are slated to open late Spring 2014. The building, developed by HANDS, Inc, features 4,600 square feet of ground-floor arts retail, production, and program space. ValleyArts is finalizing plans to launch four Shared Artist Studio Co-ops for more than 30 artists within this facility.
"With a stable and engaged community and more and more artists and audiences coming here, programs like ArtWalk and Super Saturday further reveal the Valley's growing vitality," said Richard T. Bryant. "Before too long, every weekend may well be like the ArtWalk," he added, "and next spring's opening of the Kelli Copeland Artist Lofts will further propel us along this path."
All ArtWalk & Super Saturday events are family-friendly. There is no charge for admission. Parking is available in several neighborhood church parking lots and on the street. For additional information, visit valleyartsnj.com, or call (862) 252-7035.
