Free Seminar: Dealing with Difficult Behavior in Dementia

Senior Home Care Services is holding a seminar called “Dealing with Difficult Behavior in Dementia” on Thursday, March 14th at 9:30 am. The speaker Paula Lawrence, is a nurse practitioner with an MSN in gerontology and over 27 years of nursing experience.
People with dementia often exhibit behaviors that are frustrating, embarrassing, and sometimes even dangerous to the caregiver and others. These may include angry outbursts, agitation, aggression, wandering, vocalizations, hoarding or hiding things, and inappropriate sexual behavior. This seminar outlines ways to manage these difficult behaviors in people with dementia.
Following the seminar there is an Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group.
