Free Health Screenings on 3/23 at 15 of Rite Aid's New Wellness Store in NYC area

WHAT: 15 newly remodeled Rite Aid Wellness Stores are holding grand opening events on Saturday, March 23. Stores feature increased staffing for customer service, an enhanced selection of wellness products and resources, and advanced clinical services including a private pharmacist consultation room at most locations. Based on Rite Aid's latest store design, Wellness Stores are part of the drugstore chain’s continued commitment to providing services, products, and resources to help customers and their families live healthier lives.
To celebrate the grand openings, Rite Aid is offering free health screenings and product samples at each location. Nurses and our licensed pharmacists will be on hand to provide free services designed to help local residents keep their hearts healthy including:
* Cholesterol testing
* Blood glucose testing
* Blood pressure readings
* Information on American Heart Association’s Life Check® today
Rite Aid pharmacists will also be available to discuss counsel on heart health topics including how vitamins and supplements such as fish oil can promote heart health. Visitors can also pick up a free 12-page, full-color Heart Health guide that was developed with the American Heart Association to help customers learn the risks of heart disease, take control of these risks and overcome obstacles to decreasing those risks by making healthy lifestyle changes.
Also, at the events, Rite Aid Wellness Ambassadors will provide interactive demos on customized iPads. As a regular addition to these and future Rite Aid Wellness Stores, Wellness Ambassadors help customers access quality information and facilitate access to the clinical advice and services of the pharmacists.
Wellness Ambassadors can also help customers electronically enroll in wellness+, Rite Aid's free customer loyalty program offering health and wellness benefits and immediate shopping discounts. Visitors can also sample organic, gluten-free or natural food products and pick up other product samples and coupons.
