FANWOOD, NJ – Autism Family Times with Brianna, Inc., a local activist group, will be sponsoring a free holiday gift wrapping event at Forest Road Park in Fanwood on Saturday, December 15 from 2 to 4 pm.
“We formed this organization in order to support families with autistic children,” said President Claudette Bardwil. ‘This event is a way for autistic children to work with their mentors and deal with social situations in a controlled way.”
The organization utilizes over 10 years of experience in researching alternative and traditional treatments for autism. “It is our goal to share all that we have learned and advocate for families that are impacted by the epidemic of Autism,” said Claudette.
Residents are requested to bring their presents to be wrapped, and all wrapping paper, ribbons and bows will be provided.
“The wrapping will not be perfect, but you will have a story to tell about how the present was wrapped,” said Claudette. “This is very important for the children and their mentors.”
