Fourth of July Updates: Forecast Changes Schedule

LIVINGSTON, NJ - Livingston’s afternoon July 4th Bands & BBQ event will go on as originally scheduled. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., guests are invited to the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, and to hear bands: The Stiff Joints and The Red Light Band. The Bands & Beer Café will be open to those over 21 only (must show ID) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

However, based on weather reports for Friday, July 4th, the following changes have been made to the morning/early afternoon programming for the Livingston Township July 4th Celebration:

11:00 a.m. -- the Declaration of Independence will be read by Col. Peter Berkowsky, USAF retired. It will be read in the Livingston High School Auditorium

11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. -- The 9- Hole Mini-Gold & Connect 4 Game that is sponsored by Events Plus, will be held in the Livingston High School Cafeteria

12:30 p.m. -- Powerhouse Studios Kids ‘N Motion (kids <9) will be held in the Livingston High School Cafeteria

1:30 p.m. -- Powerhouse Studios Wild & Wacky Challenge (kids 8+) will be held in the Livingston High School Cafeteria

2:30 p.m. -- The Ice Cream Eating Contest sponsored by Frozen In Time will be held in the Livingston High School Cafeteria

4:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. -- The ‘Bands & BBQ’ will be held, and the evening entertainment with the “Livingston Leo” band and fireworks are currently scheduled to go on as originally planned

Note: The status of the Livingston 21st Annual July 4th Car Show, Patriotic Ceremony, the Kiwanis Swim Karnival, and the American Legion Baseball game have not yet been determined. An updated message regarding these programs will be available by 7:30 a.m. on July 4th at 973-535-7925, press “3.”
