Former US Ambassador and Foreign Service Officer to Speak at LWV meeting

The public is invited to a conversation with Lange Schermerhorn on Monday, September 10th at the New Providence Memorial Library (377 Elkwood Ave.) at 7:30pm. Women and Voting in Other Parts of the World will be her theme
Ms. Schermerhorn has had a long career as a Foreign Service Officer, including economic, political and staff assignments at the State Department and abroad in Vietnam, Iran and Brusseld. She was Ambassador to the republic of Djibouti from 1998-2000. Since her retirement in 2001, she has served as the Political Advisor to the US Combined Joint Task Force- Horn of Africa, as a consultant in Egypt, Djibouti and Somaliland and as an election observer in Eritrea, Nigria, Somaliland and Kenya.
