Focus on Life and Special Memories...

With the tragic events of this past week in our town and the loss of two young local boys lives, I wanted to take a moment to say how truly touching it was to see the community come together as it did. It's times like these that make me proud to be living here, calling Randolph my hometown. In an effort to promote wellness and spirit, I think it's important to briefly address what you should think about saying to someone grieving a loved one's death.
When you meet someone who has lost someone close to them, focus on that persons life, rather than the loss. Learn how they lived and how they continue to live on, in our minds, and in our hearts. Maybe ask questions such as:
*What did they love to do?
*How did they inspire you?
*What did they do for fun?
*What fun memories did you share?
*Have you ever received signs from them since their passing?
When losing someone you love, try focusing on their life, and what they brought to yours to make it better. Although the pain of their loss will always remain and leave an empty hole, learn to fill that hole with love, sweet memories and their light will continue to shine on.
