EDISON, NJ - Flo’s Annual Chili Cook-Off to benefit the Brain Tumor Center at the JFK Neuroscience Institute (Edison, NJ), will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Spotswood American Legion Hall, on the DeVoe Lakeside. This benefit is to honor loving friend, sister, mother and aunt, Flo Tempalski.
Last year Flo’s Chili Cook-Off raised over $7,000 in one day -- money raised helped brain tumor patients pay for MRI's, insurance co-pays and transportation for chemotherapy treatment. To date the event has raised over $20,000 -- this year the goal is to raise $10,000 to benefit the Brain Tumor Center’s programs and services for patients and families in New Jersey. The day-long event includes live entertainment, facepainting, arts and crafts, chinese auction and some of the best chili you will ever find in New Jersey. Doors open at 11 a.m., live music starts at noon, and chili sampling begins at 1pm. The excitement and fun will continue throughout the day until 5 p.m., and be sure to attend the Chili Awards Ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
