FLOOD WATCH

At 4:06am Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for northeast New Jersey, including West Essex. The Watch is expected to be in effect from Saturday evening until Sunday evening. The advisory was issued due to the forecast for heavy rains and the ensuing potential for flooding of small streams. West Essex TAP will continue to monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
