Monday, January 28, 2013 • 8:12pm
Scott Schultz, director of Business Development, Advanced Solar Products (ASP) of Flemington, NJ (www.advancedsolarproducts.com) will be a featured speaker at the Green Hospitality & Tourism Conference set for February 12, 2013, at the DoubleTree Somerset Hotel & Conference Center in Somerset, NJ.
“I will be co-speaking with Andrea Pinabell, Director of Sustainability for Starwood Hotels and Resorts,” says Schultz. “This is a great opportunity for a locally based solar contractor to share the stage with top green technology companies like Dow and Honeywell, as well as with national hospitality chains like Starwood and Wyndham Worldwide.”
The conference, sponsored by the Somerset County Business Partnership (www.scbp.org), will explore cutting-edge technologies and real-world applications through classes and panel discussions led by experts in operations and marketing. The Keynote Speaker will be Leilani C. Latimer, Senior Director, Sustainability Initiatives, at Sabre Holdings, the parent company of Internet giant Travelocity.
“Our session will compare and contrast the main Renewable Energy technologies available today and provide real world examples illustrating when and how to implement them in a cost effective manner,” says Schultz, a three-year member of the Sustainable Somerset Committee of the SCBP. “Attendees will also learn about basic installation solutions and how to avoid potential pitfalls in implementing these clean technologies.”
ASP has built over 45 megawatts of solar projects throughout New Jersey and several other states in the Northeast, enough energy to meet the needs of more than 6,000 New Jersey homes.
