First American Female Rabbi Addresses Congregation

Guest speaker Sally Preisand took attendees at a Temple B’nai Abraham Kabbalat Shabbat Symposium and Dinner on a journey through her experiences as the first female rabbi in the United States. Preisand broke the rabbinical glass ceiling to become the first American female rabbi in 1972, ordained by the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, Ohio.
