Firefighter Hurt Battling Blaze to Get $31,545 Settlement

PATERSON, NJ - The City Council has approved a $31,545 workers compensation settlement for a firefighter injured during a fire on Aug. 10, 2010.

Firefighter Raphael Paredes injured his left shoulder whle he was trying to open a roof and pull plywood off windows whle battling the blaze, according to the council resolution appproved on Sepember 18.
