Firefighter Gets $42,812 Workers' Comp Settlement

PATERSON, NJ - The City Council last week approved a $42,812 workers compensation settlement on a claim filed by fire captain Josef Kohler.
The council's resolution said Kohler injured his shoulder on Sept. 11, 2009 when he tripped and fell at the Riverside firehouse. It also said he sustained hazardous exposure to his lungs from breathing toxic fumes while on the job and bacj injuries from dragging heavy fire hoses.
