Female Student Threatened With Gun After School

PATERSON, NJ - A female student leaving school Tuesday afternoon was assaulted by a man who stuck a gun in her back while she was walking near the corner of Totowa and Wayne avenues, police said.
The incident happened at about 3:15 pm, police said. It was not clear whether the girl was a student at the Kennedy High complex or at a local elementary school.
Police said the girl fled into a crowd of youths when she felt the gun and her attacker then ran away. It was not clear what prompted the incident. Police said the suspect was a black man, about 5-feet, 6-inches tall and 150 pounds.
