If you don’t think you’ll make it to New Orleans in time for Mardi Gras, or for that matter even Fat Tuesday along South Street in Philadelphia, don’t fret. You can still enjoy the day in Lower Providence Township!

No matter what you call it, it means the same thing. Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Tuesday, Faschnaut Day, Fat Tuesday… it all means the same: indulge.

Marked as the day prior to Ash Wednesday and the start of the Lent season for many religions, it is designed to be celebrated with over indulgence. When most prepare to give something up to show their devotion, this was a day purposely slated for enjoying it before it’s gone.
