On 02/22/2013 a Car Rental Business in the 10 block of South Ave. reported that a rental car has not been returned. The Rental Business made several attempts to get in touch with the Renter. The Business was reporting the car stolen. The car is a 2012 Nissan Altima 4 door White. with N.J. registration P90-CDY. Value of the car is $ 25,000.00.
On 02/23/2013 @ 2:11 AM Officer made a M.V stop @ E. 7th Street & Leland Ave. for a possible warrant on the registered owner. A check of the driver confirmed it was the owner who had a warrant out of Plainfield. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. Defendant is a Allen Brown 19 year old male from Plainfield.
Between 02/23/2013 @ 3:20 AM & 02/23/2013 @ 3:30 AM Officers were responding to an alarm call to a business in the 200 block of South Ave. When the Officers arrived they noticed the front window was smashed but still in one piece. It appears entry was not gained and it was an attempted burglary.
On 02/24/2013 @ 11:52 PM Officer made a M.V. stop @ Terrill Rd. & South Ave. for a M.V. violation. A check of the driver shows active warrants out of Roselle, Springfield, Mansfield, East Rutherford, Newark, Elizabeth, Woodbridge and Harrison. The driver was arrested, processed, posted bail and released. Defendant is a Sharon Day 44 year old female from Bronx, N.Y.
