Fanwood Poetry Reading with Linda Radice & Susan Rothbard, March 19

FANWOOD, NJ – The Carriage House Poetry Series invites the public to attend a free event on Tuesday, March 19, at 8:00 p.m. in the Kuran Arts Center on Watson Road, off North Martine Avenue, adjacent to Fanwood Borough Hall (GPS use 75 N. Martine Avenue). The featured readers will be distinguished poets Linda Radice and Susan Rothbard.

Linda Radice’s poems and essays have been published in numerous journals and anthologies. She received a second place Allen Ginsberg Award for her poetry, and appeared as Shakespeare’s “Dark Lady” in the Carriage House Renaissance Night performance last year. Linda is a charter member of the Westfield Poetry Workshop and a member of the Fanwood Arts Council. She is a paralegal and lives in North Plainfield. Susan Rothbard's poetry has appeared in The Literary Review, Poet Lore, The Cortland Review, Pif Magazine, The Comstock Review, The Paterson Literary Review and other journals. Her work has been featured on Verse Daily, and she won the 2011 Annie Finch Prize for Poetry from The National Poetry Review. Susan received her M.F.A. in creative writing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and teaches English and creative writing at Livingston High School in New Jersey.

 

The Carriage House Poetry Series is in its fifteenth year at the Patricia Kuran Arts Center, an historic Gothic Revival structure that was once a 19th century carriage house, hence the name of the series. The March 19th reading is free and open to the public. An open mic will follow the featured performance.
