Fanwood Council Honors Volunteer of the Month

FANWOOD, NJ – Fanwood Council presented the Volunteer of the Month award to local resident David Blechinger, for his work with the Performing Arts Series.
“When David approached me about expanding from poetry into music, I thought it was a great idea,” said Mayor Colleen Mahr. “He got a team together and off they went! He even singly handedly made sure we had a marquee in the side lawn of the Borough Hall to publicize upcoming events.”
“I could not have done this without Mayor Mahr’s help and support,” said David Blechinger. “It also would not have have taken off and been far more successful than we could have expected without the entire committee.”
The next Performing Arts event will be on Saturday, October 13.
