Fanwood 5K & Family Fun Run

FANWOOD, NJ - The Fanwood 5K & Family Fun Run returns for its third year on Sunday, October 21st, at LaGrande Park in Fanwood.
The day will begin with the Family Fun Run at 9 am in LaGrande Park. Music and refreshments will await runners at the finish line in LaGrande Park, and children will be able to enjoy free face painting. Each child who participates in the Fun Run will automatically be entered in the raffle for Toys ‘R’ Us gift cards.
The 5K Race will follow immediately afterward at 9:30 AM and pre-registered runners who want to avoid the lines that morning will be able to pick up their numbers and t-shirts on Saturday, from 4–6 PM at LaGrande Park.
The entry fee for the 5K is $22 ($20 for USATF members). The entry fee for the Family Fun Run is $10 with a t-shirt and $5 without. You can download a race application or register online at Fanwood5k.org. The race is fully sanctioned by the United States of America Track and Field (USATF) and is part of the New Jersey Grand Prix as a 500 point race.
The Fanwood 5K & Family Fun Run is presented by the Fanwood Recreation Commission. All proceeds from the event go to the Fanwood Recreation Department, and will help to purchase new playground equipment, build new recreational facilities and expand recreational programs for local residents.
Sponsors for the 5K & Family Fun Run include the Balyasny Foundation, The Wonder Years Academy, The Goddard School, Public Service Electric & Gas, Frank’s Auto Repair, Family Investors, Joint in Motion Physical Therapy, The Chelsea at Fanwood, The Fanwood Business Association, ARC Electric, BARD, Salon Bella, Club West, and the Jewish Community Center of Central New Jersey.
Please be aware that roads will be closed along the race route between the hours of 8 AM and 11 AM.
