Family Musical "The Music Man" Opening in Livingston

Livingston Community Players

Saturday, October 27, 2012 • 10:15pm

Celebrating their 10th anniversary of the revival of the group, Livingston Community Players is presenting a family musical, "The Music Man" as this year's production.

The award-winning musical takes place in 1912, when fast-talking con man Harold Hill shows up selling dreams of a boys' band to residents in River City, Iowa. Only the town librarian sees through his deception, while the rest of the town falls prey to his scheme. Will Harold skip town with the money, or will his feelings for the librarian change his conniving ways?

The musical features several hit songs such as "Seventy-Six Trombones", "Gary, Indiana", and "Lida Rose" and is being lead by the talented team of Ilene Greenbaum as Music Director, and Camille DiLorenzo as Director.

Performances at Mt Pleasant Middle School are Saturday November 10 @ 7:30pm, Sunday, November 11 @ 2:00pm, Saturday November 17 @ 2:00pm and 7:30pm, and Sunday, November 18 @ 2:00pm.
