Fall Planting Tip

Planning to add some new shrubs or veggies this fall? Make sure to add some peat moss to your freshly tilled soil.  In the fall, plants start to concentrate their energy towards the root systems to get ready for the long winter. Peat moss helps in many ways.

Peat Moss
•  Aerates plant roots by loosening heavy clay soil.
•  Adds body to sandy soil.
•  Saves water by absorbing and holding moisture.
•  Reduces leaching or runoff of nutrients present in or added to the soil, releasing them over time.

Don't use it as mulch, but as a soil treatment. Enjoy.
