Faith Lutheran Announces Jazz Services

On Sunday, February 19, Faith Lutheran Church in New Providence will offer two jazz eucharistic services, one at 8:30 am and the other at 11:00 am. The jazz band, consisting of a trumpet, bass, trombone, saxophone, piano and drums, will play favorite hymns, such as “Precious Lord”, “Amazing Grace”, Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” and “Oh! When the Saints Coming Marching In”.
Preaching at both services will be the Reverend James Krombolz, pastor of Faith Lutheran.
The forum at 9:40 am will be a presentation and discussion on the subject, “The Once and Future Church.” The dialogue will examine current trends in religion and the responses that are required by the church to allow it to move vitally into the changing future. Coffee, tea and light refreshments will be served.
