FAIRFIELD, NJ - On Sunday, Fairfield residents came out to support their Volunteer Fire Department at the company's annual Pancake Breakfast. Each year the event benefits the Fairfield Exempt Firemen's Association which in turns supports the firefighters training and education. The pancakes were "all-you-can-eat" and were served with sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Fairfield Mayor James Gasparini stopped in to enjoy the fresh breakfast and thank the firefighters for all of their efforts.

Firefighters Matt Candarella, Daniel Cerami, Alex Cifelli, Frank Cusano, John Filipow, Wes Mierzwa, Chris Minardi, Matt Napolitano and Matt Napoliteste participated in much of the set up and serving. Also on hand was Fire Prevention Bureau Director Bill Smith, Exempt Firemen's Association President Joseph Odee and the chef for the occasion, retired firefighter Bobby Ober.
