Extreme Adopts Made in the USA Policy

Press Release

Thursday, June 30, 2011 • 12:41pm

Policy aimed at lessening enviromental impact and increased localized job creation, adopted into company operating procedure.

Extreme Energy Solutions Board of Directors, committed to building local commerce and trade, has adopted manufacturing criteria and policies that stress the importance of usage of raw materials, goods, and services that are produced in the United States.  Extreme Energy Solutions must explore all options of using first local based businesses within the town limits of where their facility is located.  Then the range of searching for companies that can support the firms needs must be within the county.  Once outside the county boarders, next options of suppliers must come from within the the boarder of its home state, New Jersey.  When all options in the state have been exhausted, then shopping in neighboring states is permissible.  This plan does not just effect Extreme Energy Solution.  Its suppliers and vendors; 50% of their purchases and needs must be from other firms within the United States.  New Jersey based vendors and suppliers must have to demonstrate their dedication to local commerce and make at least 25% of their purchases for their company in within the state's boarders.

"This policy is aimed to create a pay-it-forward job creation on a local level.  If local and regional businesses would be more pro-active in approaching who their suppliers are, and purchased business needs and raw materials as close to home as possible, it would have a rippling effect on demand, thus creating more localized jobs," commented Samuel K. Burlum, CEO/President of Extreme Energy Solutions, "this trade and manufacturing policy not only is aimed to help local job creation, it is a statement that Extreme Energy Solutions is committed to playing a pro-active role in our countries economic situation; while addressing the issue on a grass roots level, in our own back yard.  This can help set the trend for good things to come back to the communities that have a high labor force where companies left for cheaper pasture."

"Another benefit to this policy is it helps consolidate transit and logistics.  When firms don't have to purchase goods or services from such foreign lands, they spend less on shipping cost, not only saving on pricing and money to the consumer, but using less fuel to transport those goods from distant locations," continued Burlum.  Other points of the policy include the usage of recycled or renewable materials when manufacturing and packaging products and services, and having an executive summery explaining the company's initiatives to lessen their environmental impact.  Three of the four Extreme Energy Solutions product lines are made in New Jersey, with the fourth product made within the boarders of the United States.
